  • Zoe Anderson

    Coach | Queen B | Women’s Health Specialist

Hello! I’m Zoe—new mama, long-time coach, and big believer in the power of movement to make your life better. I started this gym with Urban to give people a space not just to workout, but to have the best hour of their day.

For over 10 years, I’ve been helping people feel stronger, more confident, and more connected to their bodies. I want to know your goals, your story, and how we can make movement work for your life.

I specialize in coaching women through all phases—whether you’re navigating your cycle, dealing with perimenopause, or finding your strength post-baby (like me!). My mission is to make sure you feel seen, supported, and empowered every step of the way.

Background: A degree in Psychology from UC Davis, certifications in CrossFit Level 1 & 2, Precision Nutrition, and Women’s Hormone Health.

  • Chris Esquivel

    Gym Zaddy / Head Coach / A-CFHC / CF-L2

Chris’ journey through health and fitness has been a long and winding road. As a high level athlete with a long and complicated injury history, Chris knows first hand what it feels like to get thrown out of a routine. He also knows that how we respond in these moments of adversity has the power to define us much more than any given setback. Chris’ start as a fitness instructor began after one such obstacle, the latest in a series of major knee injuries that helped him reconnect to his passion for anything athletic.

Armed with a new resolve, Chris completed his ACE trainer certification in 2010. Shortly thereafter he began leading outdoor fitness classes in San Francisco. This role would lead to many opportunities to coach both individuals and companies, not only in fitness, but in all aspects of health. Always hungry in his quest for more knowledge and experience, Chris became a CrossFit Level 1 trainer in 2016, an ADAPT-Certified Functional Health Coach in 2022, and a CrossFit Level 2 trainer in 2023.

Chris’ main focus these days is on holistic health, and how to provide practical tools for people to thrive in a complex modern world. His philosophy is that maximizing our chance of living a long and healthy life need not be complicated, and that consistency, as well as strong yet simple foundations are the key. When not in the gym you’ll find Chris on the golf course, deep into a crossword, making food with friends, or tearing up the dance floor with his wife Sandra.

Chris is available for remote health coaching, nutritional guidance, and bespoke personal training programs. Reach out to him for more info at chris@thebarnfitnesscollective.com
